There was something that Allt för Sverige viewers didn’t get to see during the Julspecial… My Swedish relatives and I sang to each other in the kitchen! While we drank Glögg they sang for me a song about Tomte, and then I sang O Holy Night for them. I also hoped to sing this Swedish carol I had learned with them but we didn’t have enough time.
I shared this with my Swedish family on Sunday as a little gift from my house to theirs.

Det har är mina favorit julsånger och jag lärde mig det i svenska för dig. Jag ville sjunga den med dig när jag besökte för Julspecial men det fanns inte tid. Så, jag sjunger den för dig nu. Kanske du ska sjunga tillsammans med mig, från den andra sidan Atlanten.
Det är sant att vi inte längre bara familjen på papperet, men i verkliga livet. God jul till er alla!

There was a lot more that happened behind the scenes than what you saw (I did get to spend a good chunk of the day with my family) so I think I’ll do another blog for the Julspecial. But not until after Christmas… it’s family time!
